Amanda Montoya

As a Holistic Therapies Practitioner & ancestral healing practitioner, I am passionate about assisting clients in creating a safe space to explore their body systems needs with grace & acceptance-with a deep belief that being trauma-informed is a sacred responsibility for anyone offering healing modalities. I offer both unconventional & traditional therapies aimed at promoting overall balance & wellness- bridging folk medicine in modern times, while weaving together the sacred arts that have been a part of my personal practice for years, honoring the magic & mystery of the unknown of the universe & the unknown within each of us.

I carry the lineage of the Otomi, Tepehuans, Toltec, Maya, Aztec and Apache peoples. I have been initiated into a Pre-Andean cross-cultural shamanism practice and Mesoamerican inspired Mexican Traditional Medicine practices. I practice the medicine of my peoples and with honor and deep reverence I share the medicine of these Peruvian practices along with East and South Asian practices, that I have received various trainings in.

My intention is to foster an inclusive & supportive environment, providing opportunities to restore the mind-body connection while inviting clients to connect with their spiritual nature with curiosity & ease. Rooted in reverence for nature & holistic health, my offerings honor each person’s unique path, creating space for healing, growth, & deeper self-connection.

I weave these practices into my offerings as a full-spectrum postpartum doula. I offer both ancestral traditional care & modern day practices to provide new mothers with a space to be, to heal, while honoring this rite of passage they have experienced. Dedicated to being a part of a movement that is creating a mother culture, where mothers are given the space to honor their body’s ability to create, nourish & naturally heal.

As a queer Chicana & mother of three, I am passionate about creating an inclusive, safe space for people to feel seen, heard, understood, honored & empowered. I intend to create a space for my community to experience what it’s like to heal & connect to their roots. With these earth based practices, I  share my deep love for my own ancestral ties with the Mexica (Aztec) peoples, & my personal story about the healing process I  have experienced while rewriting my own programs & addressing the severing created by colonization.

I currently live in Colorado with my beautiful partner Claire, enjoying the company of the 5 children we share between us. I enjoy spending time in my sacred practices, exploring nature, traveling, writing, creating, spending time with family, friends & my two sister cats Leona & Isis.

Acknowledging the occupied, ancestral land I live and offer services on of the Ute, Arapahoe, Shoshone, and Cherokee peoples. Honoring the elders past and present, I thank them for their stewardship.

Honoring Tlazolteotl, as she spins the web of matter and knowledge, the great weaver and keeper of regeneration. This is my offering: MetzlieXochitl ( Moonflowers) Wellness, Tlazocamati, Con amor.

Thank you for being here
