MotherCircle

There’s a deep need to remind mothers that they are not meant to do this alone, having a circle of mothers, elders, and feminine support has been the root of motherhood in many cultures around the world for centuries, though lacking in our current culture. “This cultural fabric is torn” and I am here to help create a reparative experience for “the epidemic of disconnection facing mothers today.”

Through learning to create a sacred space where mothers gather, connect, reflect and learn, we will mend the threads and build MotherCulture together
— Kimberly Ann Johnson

What is “Mother Culture”?

“It is a movement that recognizes the profound impact that a mother’s growth and well-being can have on her children and community.” It encourages mothers to invest in themselves just as much as they invest in those around them. It offers spaces where mothers can sink into themselves beyond being a mother while embracing the new versions of themselves as a mother. To learn more about this movement, visit my journal entry MotherCulture.

Imagine the children that get to experience this environment, having a mother that is deeply connected to herself and her needs, with the knowledge, understanding, and respect of the “ foundational principles in the arc of the motherhood journey” and how it shapes not only her life but the lives of those around her.

“Join a global movement of fierce mothers on a pathway to wisdom, impacting generations.”

MotherCircle is an 8-week gathering for mothers who want to understand the unseen arc of their motherhood journey to move out of confusion and into greater clarity and wisdom within a supportive community. A space to uncover the deeper truths of the journey of motherhood and align with the authentic self.

Each week we will dive into specific themes, using the art of storytelling, ritual and ceremony, somatic movements along with breath work practices, and introspective journaling—just to name a few of the practices we will explore together.

“We think we are mothering our children; but often we are re-mothering ourselves. Our children reflect our nervous systems, and we’re not sure where we end and they begin.”

In each circle we sink into the themes around:

  • Acknowledging and honoring the rites of passage as mothers

  • Deep diving into the cyclical nature as women

  • Exploring the innate and universal needs of mothers

  • The nervous system and Motherhood

  • The process and result of the journey of birth

  • The evolution of the sexual self

  • Worth and value as women and mothers

  • Values, mothering, and activating the MotherCodes

This circle is an offering for:

  • Mothers that are not necessarily in the season of young children, but have birthed or mothered children that are now adults.

  • New mothers, women who have experienced pregnancy, or perhaps loss.

  • Mothers-to-be and women who wish to be mothers.

  • Grandmothers, aunties, and women who are supporting mothers.

  • Whether you have physically given birth, are an adopted mother, stepmother, or are in the archetypal phase of motherhood and birthing new ideas and projects, this space is also for you.

This is a space for community, for anyone craving deeper levels of conversation around motherhood. Together we will create a space of learning, growth, and connection.

Investment: $222 for 7 weeks

The first of the 8 circles will be a free offering.  This circle is a weekly gathering. Plan for 1.5 hours per circle.
This circle will offered online.

The act of witnessing others moved me to my core. I discovered a language for my experiences postpartum and in mothering, I found connection in stories shared that helped me make sense of my motherhood journey, for the first time in four years, I didn’t feel like there was something wrong with me.

Redefining and honoring the fullness of motherhood together

If you feel a full body yes to this gathering, you can register here. I would also love to connect and answer any questions you may have, please reach out to chat.

If your heart and body are saying yes, yet your mind is working through money blocks, please reach out for payment options and scholarships. My intention is to share this circle as medicine for the community, as a movement in creating a mother culture where we thrive together.

It is a great honor to hold space for mothers and women in various ways as a mother and Postpartum Doula, practicing ancestral healing. In gratitude for the container and community that is MotherCircle.

With Love + In Community,
Amanda Montoya
