Rose is a beautiful plant ally to add to your spiritual practice and daily rituals. Her presence can help aid in the healing of the heart, for grief and sorrow, softening the walls we place around the heart for protection.
She can encourage love to blossom in one’s life again, awakening the passions within. Rosa has an infinity for the heart, and blood which often connects her to the womb and the feminine.
Her presence supports the womb space after birth, during moon cycles, and perimenopause. She nourishes the uterus and nervous system, softening the body and releasing tension, encouraging balance.
Her thorns remind us of the importance of boundaries and protection. She can be worked with as a protective ally; with her high vibrational frequency she can hold and protect you in the highest love.
She also reminds us that our sensuality and sexual expression is inherently innocent, and she supports those healing from sexual trauma, abuse, or oppression. She holds us, softens us and nourishes us.
She is a beautiful companion during ceremony as her presence opens the portals of the heart, the gateway to the Divine. In ceremony we are able to call back one’s spirit after trauma, creating a loving and safe space within the body for these parts to land.
My Prayer to the Magnificent Medicina of La Rosa Reina
“Thank you Queen, for activating our hearts with love and forgiveness. For your protection and strength that lands around and within us, with softness. Reminding us that boundaries protect our beauty, and those that respect the whole package may experience the sweetness of who we truly are. A veil of remembrance of our own beauty, and humility. The power that lies within us to heal and be well and to share that wholeness with others. You have been connected to goddesses and femininity throughout history, thank you for creating safety for us to awaken and surrender to our femininity .
Your radiance and magic are my source of inspiration at times, as I bathe and drink you in, the warmth of your presence with my being awakens my desires and passion for life on days I am lost in the swirls of the matrix. You empower me while you activate my sensuality and sovereignty. Your essence connects me to all things, a thread that weaves my heart back together within the tapestry of the great mystery, I am able to see with clear eyes, and heart, again.
Thank you for loving me. 🌹”

Rose water can be placed in a colored spray bottle and used throughout the day to raise your vibration and bring you back to center. You can also add it to teas, baths and broths or as a face toner/wash.
Note: be sure to use only organically grown rose petals and roses. Most store bought roses have high levels of pesticide residue so use caution.
5 cups mountain spring water
1 cup organic rose petals (dried)
Before working with your plant ally, make sure to honor its spirit. Close your eyes and breathe in an intention to awaken the magic and medicine of the plant. Thank it for its presence and work you will do together.
Rose is a gentle herb so you want to prepare it as an infusion:
Gently boil your water in a clay or stainless steel pot.
Once the water has reached the desired boil, turn off the heat and add your rose petals.
Cover and let stand for 15-20 minutes or overnight.
Strain the petals using a glass jar and cheesecloth. Be sure to squeeze out excess liquid.
You can store it in the fridge in glass jars or/and transfer to a dark colored spray bottle.
